This section explains the terms and conditions for participating in Swan Pilates & Dance classes and services, ensuring clarity and mutual respect for all parties involved. Here we explain the rules for booking, attending and enjoying our sessions safely and fairly.
Effective from: May 2025. These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Swan Pilates & Dance, including Pilates, ballet, and body conditioning classes. By booking or attending a class, you agree to the following terms:
1. Booking & Payment
- All classes must be pre-booked and pre-paid in advance. Drop-in attendance is not permitted.
- Classes are booked in half-term blocks. The number of weeks may vary depending on the school term calendar.
- Payment details and deadlines will be communicated upon booking.
- If payment is not received within the stated timeframe, your place may be released for others to book.
- 1:1 lessons must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Payment can be made via bank transfer.
2. Cancellation Policy
Once a block has been booked and paid for, no refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes.
If Swan Pilates & Dance cancels a class (e.g. due to illness or venue issues), a replacement class or credit will be offered where possible.
1:1 lessons – cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full and are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.
In exceptional cases (e.g. medical emergency), a refund or partial credit may be offered at the discretion of the instructor.
3. Health & Safety
All clients must complete a registration and health screening form (PAR-Q) before attending their first class.
You are responsible for informing the instructor of any injuries, health conditions, pregnancy or changes to your physical condition before each session.
Clients participate at their own risk. Swan Pilates & Dance is not liable for injuries sustained during class where correct instruction has been provided and exercises are performed as directed.
Appropriate clothing must be worn, and footwear (e.g. ballet shoes or bare feet) should be suitable for the class type.
4. Participation Guidelines
All participants are expected to listen carefully to instructions and follow exercises within their own ability level. You are responsible for your own physical limitations and must stop or modify exercises if pain, discomfort, dizziness or fatigue occur.
Classes may include physical adjustments or corrections (verbal or hands-on), which is always optional
If unsure about any exercises or movement, clients should ask the instructor for clarification or adaptation.
Please arrive on time and ensure your mobile phone is switched to silent during class.
Respectful and considerate behaviour is expected in all classes. The instructor reserves the right to refuse admission or ask a participant to leave if behaviour is disruptive or unsafe.
5. Liability Waiver
By participating, you confirm that you have disclosed all relevant health conditions and that you take full responsibility for your own physical wellbeing.
You understand that physical activity carries a risk of injury.
Swan Pilates & Dance and its instructors accept no liability for personal injury or loss sustained during classes or elated activities unless caused by proven negligence.
6. Photography and Date Protection
No photography or filming is permitted during classes without prior consent.
Occasionally, Swan Pilates & Dance may take photos for promotional purposes. Clients will always be asked to give written permission in advance.
All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Your data is only used to manage bookings, ensure health and safety and communicate regarding classes.
Swan Pilates & Dance reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes via email/social media or through the website.
